at least there are no weirdos here
i watched wild child a couple of days ago. lmao. i don't know wth has come over me. first i watch camp rock (i didnt like it btw) now i watch wild child?
wasn't expecting anything special. i read the synopsis and figured it sounded like the typical teenage girl movie. i like that it's set in england though. haha. anyways, i watched it cos i noticed alex pettyfer was in it. lol. i remember seeing him in stormbreaker and thinking 'damn this kid is gonna be hot some day'. he's also part of burberry's 2008 campaign, along with people like agyness deyn and lily donaldson. cool ads. now the question is, do i sound like a perv if i say that i was right? lol i mean the kid is as young as my brother who is 3 years younger than me, but i think alex is pretty damn cute for a 18 year old. lmao.

oh, about the movie? it wasn't too bad. predictable, but still pretty enjoyable. i'd watch it over camp rock. haha. oh, this song is in the movie. i like it a lot. sounds like something The Feeling would do :)
speaking of americans in england, i've been wanting to watch Easy Virtue. i'll be honest, i wouldnt have heard of it if ben barnes wasn't in it. but it sounds funny. jessica biel is an american woman who marries a british man (ben barnes married?! say it ain't so!) but falls out of favor with his mother when she finds out she's american. hmm, okay now that it's been put into text it sounds terribly dull. lol. but i like that the music is gonna be all jazzy and stuff, since i've been listening to lots of old jazz and swing recently. haha. it's christmas getting to me. people from that era did the best christmas songs.
still on the topic of ben barnes, i was telling yvonne that if he really gets cast as Aro in New Moon, my loyalty to the Cullens will probably disintegrate immediately. LOL. on a related note, twilighters are going bonkers over robert pattinson's new short hairdo. personally i think he looks hot. but more importantly, *click here*
eek! robert with guitar! HAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHA

i love holidays

anyway this little piece of news made me even happier :D

"Following last week's dismissal and replacement of Catherine Hardwicke, this weekend began with a press release from Summit Entertainment officially appointing "New Moon" director Chris Weitz to the job. Suspicious in its omission of Taylor Lautner, the release seemed to all but confirm Twilighter whispers that Hardwicke won't be the last "Twilight" talent replaced before the sequel.
So where does the series go from here?
MTV News can confirm that 26-year-old "Scorpion King 2" actor Michael Copon [pronounced "COPE-on"] is one of several actors Weitz is considering to play the new, larger Jacob Black. A representative for Copon told us that they're making a full effort to land the high-profile gig. And in a bit of 21st-century self-publicity, the actor has even recently updated his Facebook status with messages like: "Michael Copon [is] in a Twilight Zone!" and "Michael Copon is the older Jacob Black!"
Copon's representative confirmed to MTV News that the Facebook page is run by the actor himself and that those are indeed his words.
Approached for comment on Lautner's omission from the "New Moon" press release, Summit confirmed that it was not a typographical error. "The casting decision in regards to the character Jacob Black has yet to be made," a representative told MTV News.
But even once Copon (or whoever else) is officially announced as the new Jacob, Weitz still has many other key casting decisions to make and an extremely brief amount of time in which to make them. With barely 12 weeks until cameras are due to begin rolling, the "Golden Compass" filmmaker needs to find faces to portray several key characters — including the peace-keeping, Italian vampires known as the Volturi.
With the buzz building for these roles, MTV News has confirmed that 27-year-old "Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" heartthrob Ben Barnes is throwing his hat into the ring. The actor is already quite popular with the "Twilight" fanbase and shares the same manager as both Copon and "Twilight" star Cam Gigandet. Barnes is believed to be campaigning for the role of Aro, a mind-reading vampire whose "New Moon" encounter with Edward and Bella helps shape their destiny together. "
OHMYeffingGAWD. YAY. BEN BARNES IN TWILIGHT?! are you serious? this is my wildest dreams coming true. two of my favourite guys as immortal vampires! two absolutely gorgeous BRITISH men as VAMPIRES! EEK! i cannot describe how happy i will be if this comes true. BEN BARNES! ZOMG! and i thought seeing him as dorian gray was gonna be the highlight of 2009 hehe
i always though Aro was older. not that i'm complaining. i'm absolutely delighted. more young, sexy, gorgeous vampires? HELL YES. speaking of ben barnes, i've been walking into GAP stores just to see his poster on the walls. LMAO. cam gigandet is also featured in this years campaign. a cropped hair-ed cam gigandet. i know you love his long hair rach but i still think he looks hotter with the cropped hair. haha.
(okay everyone, you can stop rolling your eyes now :D)
i know everyone's knickers are in a twist because of the recasting of jacob black, but to be honest i didnt really like taylor lautner in the movie. maybe it's just because i never liked jacob in the books lol (i've always been a vampire sort of person). i dunno. but whatever it is, the recasting isn't really bothering me too much XD as for the change in director, if the harry potter movies could do it successfully, why not twilight?
anyways, christmas is coming, and i've suddenly been overcome with a drastic change in musical taste. it started with me listening to the old christmas tunes by the likes of bing crosby and bobby helms. next thing i know, i'm listening to music from the rat pack era. yes, lots of frank sinatra, dean martin, sammy davis jr, and ella fitzgerald. i never really appreciated jazz and big band stuff but listening to this music actually makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. i like it. weird? maybe it's because they all sound so christmas-sy. the best christmas songs are definitely from that era. though mariah carey's 'all i want for christmas is you' is still a favourite lol
so forgive the cheesiness but you know, i just had to put jingle bell rock on the music player :)
anyway this little piece of news made me even happier :D

OMG YAY
so. it's been a week since m-ifw ended and i gotta say: i'm so fucking glad it's over. not that i had a bad time there. i just didnt particularly enjoy the weeks leading up to it. lol. unfortunately, i did not take any pictures of the event. but just to prove i was there....

lmao. we had to give a deposit of 5rm for this tag, which would be given back to us once we return our tags. obviously, i did not return my tag. lol. what can i say? i'm lame and like to keep souvenirs of experiences. haha. if you're wondering, i blurred out my face cos i hate that photo of me. bloody photographer lady made me laugh.
anyways, my first m-ifw experience. didnt get to see much to be honest. except for my boss' show and the klsix gala, both of which i was backstage. i've been backstage at a couple of fashion shows before but this was the most intense yet. especially the kl six gala. huge props to andrews models for all the organizing and choreographing of the models. seriously, i don't know how these people do it. it's chaos backstage! lol. met lisa s who modelled for the kl six gala. friendly girl. strange how a foreign model can be friendlier than some of our own local models.
one thing i learnt during my time at m-ifw 2008? you can never be overdressed. you're bound to find someone more overdressed than you. people go all out man. men in neon tights, oversized sunnies, wacky hairdos. women in evening gowns, low-cut tops and thigh skimming micro minis and overspilling boobs. not to mention foul smelling perfumes and truckloads of makeup. yeah. you kinda get the picture right?
anyways, the first thing i did on my first day off in 3 weeks was to WATCH TWILIGHT(!!!) with ani :D funny how all my posts seem to go back to twilight eh? lol.
i'll be honest. the first half of the movie was pretty boring. i just couldnt get into the movie. it was disjointed, messy and edward just seemed retarded (though still absolutely gorgeous). dialogue, as expected was cheesy, but that was all in the book so i dont blame the screenwriters for that. second half was pretty enjoyable, once edward got over his retardedness. haha. baseball scene was cool. supermassive blackhole, woot! i have to commend stephenie meyer on that. i love muse too :)i think my second fav character in the movie after edward is chief swan. lol! the dude is so funny! but you know what, i still liked it enough and i'd still buy the original dvd *cough*
everyone is all over robert pattinson nowadays. i miss the days when nobody gave a shit about the dude who played cedric diggory, and i was the only one who wanted to see more of him. LMAO. i actually started reading twilight cos i found out he was gonna be in it. lol!
SHIT I CAN'T WAIT FOR HALF BLOOD PRINCE TO COME OUT.
now that i'm on the topic of movies, there's a new trailer for watchmen! looks pretty cool! i love superhero movies. hehe. and they used muse's 'take a bow'!
woohoo!
this is the earlier trailer. for this one they used smashing pumpkins 'the beginning is the end is the beginning'. do they have awesome taste in music or what? lol!
also, a new-ish proper trailer for neil gaiman's coraline! looks bloody awesome! :D
two days ago, anthea showed me a video of Christian the Lion. Watch it if you havent already. it'll melt the coldest of hearts :)
man do i love that lion.
*edit*
look! another heart-warming animal video! saw this on dlisted.com (best website in the world! *nudges ani and anthea*)
animals are amazing creatures. look at the way those humans in cars just drive past. makes you ashamed doesnt it?
