bad audition

i havent been following american idol this year as much as i used to. but i caught an episode yesterday and this guy really creeped me out. lol. sorry. just thought i should mention it. hahah.



on the other hand, i really liked this kid

cloverfield

am i the first one among you guys to blog about this? lol. ok, random kiasu-ness aside, cloverfield is one of the rare times i managed to catch a movie on it's opening weekend as well as NOT have anyone spoil it for me. no worries, i'm not planning to spoil it for anyone :)

anyways, went to midvalley with chinhooi, andrew, alex and gang (forgive me for not naming everyone individually, you havent been forgotten lol) for lunch and a movie. went to chilis for lunch and watched cloverfield after.

i enjoyed the movie. the marketing plan was great. lol. i'm amazed that nothing had been leaked prior to the movie and that everyone is dying to know wtf is going on. i absolutely loved the filming style. for those who don't know, the movie is all from the perspective of one video camera. really cool, really real, and pretty original. you kinda feel like you're watching a real , personal thing. like, you are seeing this all from the characters' perspective and not just like some fly on the wall. a word of caution though, for those who get motion sickness or can't stand all the jerk-iness and sudden movements of a handheld video cam, i advice you to go and see this movie on an empty stomach. serious. there are a lot of sudden swivels and upside down shots and from-the-floor shots and whatnot. a lot of people were affected by the camera movements. i really liked it though. for some wonderful reason i wasnt affected. hahahaha.

its a good thing that the cast they chose are virtually unknown. it makes it seem more real. and i only found out after the movie, that mike vogel was acting in it. i liked him in grind and sisterhood of the travelling pants. heeee

so yeah, watch cloverfield. it's cool :)

*edit* crap. i've been reading wiki and other stuff on the movie and i realized i missed something in the last scene. must watch again! lol

and hey check this out. i came across this on pinkisthenewblog. each of the main characters of the movie have their own myspace page. pretty cool. notice that among all the comments on their pages, the latest one is before the night of 18th jan 2008. and the 18th jan comments all seem to be hinting about rob's party. haha pretty cool. anyways...

i just had a strange compulsion to visit the limkokwing website. and check it out yo! under the academic updates and news section, page 4, there's an article about our fashion show! well, they should put it under news no matter what, but here's the best part: (allow me to brag a little lol) a photo of the models on the catwalk wearing MY collection accompanies the article! wahahaha! i am so chuffed :D my collection! *dances around gleefully* lol

you know. i think they really like this model. this design was also in the malay mail when they did a feature on our show. lol!

my new gadget

finally got my computer fixed. aaaannnddd..... i finally acquired a tablet! i've been lusting for one for ages. hehehe.




this is it :) wacom's bamboo fun. not top range, but it serves it's purposes.

the first proper thing i drew and finished with the tablet. lol. i did a lot of messing around at first.



an attempt to do something more realistic. not good enough for me XD

my photo which had been posterized (or was it watercoloured? i cant remember) in photoshop.



did some touching up with the airbrush tool. lol. i loveeee the airbrush function. you can do so many things hahaha.

anyways, merely touching it up wasnt enough for me. i always wondered how i'd look with long lustrous locks.

first of all, i apologize to everyone for not picking up your calls. and not replying your smses instantly. you guys are probably bitching about me lol. my computer has been sent for repairs. something's wrong with the hard disk apparently and i havent seen it for two weeks. my phone credit is freakishly low these days and i've been distracted by an important family matter. pretty stressful way to start the new year.

on a brighter note, i got a job! well sorta. not a permanent thing. it's more of a freelance type of thing. lol. just one job. but im getting paid, so i'm pretty happy. lol.

so yeah, i will be MIA-ing for a while more. goodbye world!
