i did not go for my graduation ceremony. i did however manage to make it back to limkokwing yesterday to collect mine and christina's diplomas. woohoo! i'm now officially a graduate! lol. now i'm gonna have to seriously start looking for a job :(
going back to limkokwing was chaotic as usual. there is only ONE table at the registry which has to deal with 3 jobs (or more, i wouldnt be surprised). students registering for a new semester, graduates collecting their certs, and graduates who DID make it to the ceremony, returning their robes. they asked us to take numbers, yet no one was going according to numbers. wtf is the point of coming up with a number system if ya arent gonna follow it eh? is it so difficult to set up a desk specifically for returning gowns and collecting certs? jeez.
and surprise surprise, i received an award. apresident's award for young achievers(they've even got my name on the website lol). i was chatting with shinki a couple of nights ago and she told me i had received an award at the ceremony. to be completely honest, i have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA why i am receiving this award. it's bizarre!
apparently i have demonstrated single-minded dedication to achieving excellence and made outstanding efforts in extra-curricular areas of involvement. LOL
was looking at the university's website yesterday and i came across this! a whole section dedicated to the fashion graduates of 2007 and our fashion show! (ok ok i KNOW our fashion show was nearly 3 months ago, but still!! lol) it's basically everything that is in our booklet (yoohoo yvonne *wiggly eyebrows*). with the exception of the photo gallery. i havent seen those photos before :)

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes for my grandma. unfortunately she had to be re-admitted to hospital on the second day of chinese new year. she's been looking a bit better since then. lets hope it stays that way

i'm still not happy with my human figures, realistic-wise. still got lots to learn.
and i FINALLY watched 'across the universe'. been wanting to watch it ever since i first heard about it. i wasn't disappointed, it was great! especially if you are a beatles fan. lol! but even if you arent, it's a movie worth watching. if you can appreciate musicals. and yeah, the actors all did their own vocals for the songs :)

on a serious note. my grandma has been very ill. she's been in and out of hospital for weeks. the doctors are still trying to confirm their diagnosis. it's really scary seeing her like that. she's always been so... lively. sigh. i hope she manages to overcome this soon.
