so i went to work as usual yesterday, finished at 4.30 and decided to check out the yamaha and mahogany shops at bangsar with dad. they are both really small shops, more of a music school than anything. the yamaha shop only had two electric guitars would you believe it? lol. anyways, we left that shop and walked over to mahogany. they didnt have many too BUT they were all PRS guitars. yep been on the lookout for Paul Reed Smith's. i heard that quality-wise, they're in-between fender and gibson. which is why i was checking them out. i mean a mix of fender and gibson has gotta be great right? and oh yeah. GREAT price tag too. rm 2880 for one. ok la, i was kind of expecting that kinda price. hahaha. thats why i think i'll end up with a yamaha. cos im just a beginner anyways and its not like i intend to play in a band anyway. it's just a hobby. anyways, i'm getting to the best part of the post. hehe.

so after the dude showed me the gorgeous *silver* prs that cost almost 3k, he produced a model which made my jaw drop and embarass myself. why?

cos immediately i went "OMG!!! THAT'S THE BILLY MARTIN MODEL!!!!!" before he could even say anything. hahahaha. yeah in case you guys didn't know, billy collaborated with PRS and he has his own signature prs model. it was released in 2005. i never dreamt of seeing it here ok. especially in a small shop with no more than 10 electrics! fuhhh. i didnt even ask the price. lol!! but damn... i want it so badly. *wails*

ok la, it's a se model so it's lower ranged than the actual PRS 'PRS' if you know what im trying to say. lol. maybe i'm biased. maybe i like it just cos it's billy's. LOL!

i came across this on friendster's bulletin board. it's a petition for the academy is to perform in malaysia! apparently they are going to singapore and malaysia and are gonna skip malaysia! WTF!!!!!! i love the academy is. PLEASE DON'T SKIP MALAYSIA!!!! *cries* (this is becoming quite the emotional post isnt it lol) anyways i dont know if this is genuine or not. but hey, i suppose its worth a try.

ooh. my family went to 'the taj' - a northern indian restaurant in the crown princess hotel last night for my mum's birthday. i've always loved northern indian food but this had gotta be the BEST northern indian meal i'd ever had. serious. if you love northern indian food, i highly recommend the place.

and finally, i would like to make a shout out to my wonderrrrfullll friend, alex who bugged and harassed me endlessly to mention him on my blog. LOL. there it is alex. happy now? wahaha. you're welcome! ok la, to be fair, you're a good friend. you irritete me occasionally but you're not bad :P

whoopee! i just realized that i finish my internship earlier than expected! initially i thought i complete it on the 21st of july. our internship is supposed to be for a duration of 8 weeks. and i assumed that 8 weeks = 2 whole months. stupid me. luckily i checked my calendar today if not i'll be the only idiot in my class who did 9 weeks instead of 8. hah. oh i finish on the 14th.

anyways, i was doing some boring work at work today. there's this container of glass beads which contains two sizes. small and extra small ones. same colour too. so my task was to separate them. pretty fun huh. well it's partially my fault they were mixed anyway. kekeke. so i offered to separate them back. hah. anyways, i realised you could do interesting things with these little beads. lol. the pictures are evidence.

yes!! the silver surfer. this dude is bloody cool. my dad's favourite comic book hero. hahaha. now if the movie follows the comics closely, this is how the plot should be. to put it briefly. the silver surfer (one Norrin Radd) scouts for planets for this dude Galactus to er.. devour. anyways, he finds earth, battles fantastic four, realizes that what he does is wrong and becomes a good guy. therefore he saves earth. but because doing this means betraying mr planet-eater himself, he is exiled to earth.

ok. i bet all of you didnt even bother reading it. lol. but he is really cool. trust me. the graphics in the movie look pretty promising too. the fantasticar! cant say the first fantastic four movie was great (though i did enjoy it) so im hoping this one will be better. and i really liked the previous soundtrack. lol. if you haven't heard it, download omnisoul's 'waiting (save your life)'. it's a really nice song.

lies for the liars

bah. i hate sequins. you know, those shiny, spangly, tiny, plastic whats-its which we sew onto garments for decorations? yeah those things. bloody annoying i tell you. no not the sewing onto the garments part. the handling part.

i had to transfer these new batches of sequins into containers at work today. i think it must have been the plastic bags which they were stored in before i transfered them in which caused my problems and annoyance: static. at least i think it was static. yeah im pretty sure it was. anyways, the bloody things stuck to my fingers like magnets and metal! no matter how much you try to shake them off or put them into the plastic containers, they just stick more stubbornly. sheesh! and the worst part is that they are so tiny and so many that it gets really frustrating after a couple of minutes. can you imagine trying to put something in a container and instead more start sticking to you. blardy fuckers!!!!

she is the new thing

i dropped by bangsar village's rock corner (as in the music store) today after work for a while. i walk past it almost everyday but for some reason i never actually went in before. anyways if you havent been in there before, it's a pretty small shop. not big like tower records or speedy or anything. BUT. check it out. it has some cds i never thought i would find in malaysia. one quick look and i saw (among some of the rarer ones): boys like girls, hot hot heat, dresden dolls (major surprise), belle and sebastian, tegan and sara, box car racer, black rebel motorcycle club, yeah yeah yeahs, deftones (saturday night wrist. i want!!!), wolfmother, funeral for a friend (tales dont tell themselves. I REALLY WANT!!!!!). saw an our lady peace cd which was really tempting (a collection of 10 years worth of their stuff). and i saw silverchair's young modern in mph bangsar village 2. lol. i would have probably found more if i had lingered longer but i had to go. so yeah my point is, i finally know where to find good cds!!! lol. some are pretty expensive but i guess thats the price you have to pay for the good stuff. lol.

misery business

finally some time to myself. haha. havent really been online properly (when i say properly i mean being able to chat with friends, dl songs and visit blogs lol) for a while.

internship is going ok. im not sure if 'well' is the right word but at least im feeling pretty comfortable there now. haha.

anyways, finally caught pirates of the caribbean 3: at worlds end with carlyn, rach and my brothers on sunday!! i know a lot of people are saying the movie sucks balls bla bla bla but i enjoyed it. i have to admit that some parts were a bit overdone but i still liked it. johnny depp, hilarious as usual. orlando swoon.. er i mean bloom, HOT as usual (i miss him as legolas!!!!). keira knightly, irritating as usual. lol.

you know, i never understood why they made elizabeth swann such an important character. i mean why does she get all the heroic pretty speeches and the titles and stuff? it boggles me. who is she anyway? (the only girl in the movie, that's who *rolls eyes*) thats one thing about movies which only have one main female character. they always seem to make them as obnoxious and as irritating as possible. so embarrasing.

speaking of movies. i cant wait for fantastic four: rise of the silver surfer (chris evans = hot). and transformers. hahahah. what? i admit i like 'boys movies' ok. i love fight scenes. oh yes i do. lol. lord of the rings is the best ever movie. hehe.
